My Journey
Marketing wasn’t the original plan. I built my foundation in biology, completing a BSc and an MSc in Cell Biology, and working in clinical and research environments early in my career. That’s where I honed my strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and my natural curiosity for understanding how things work beneath the surface.
But during my Master’s, something unexpected happened.
At the time, I was playing for a local football team in Greece, and I had an idea: to set-up a Facebook page for the team. I pitched it to the director, got the green light, and built it from scratch, running it myself.
The goal was simple: build real engagement around the team and turn that into growth. It had to appeal to the fans, the players, and the local community. More attention, more involvement, and ultimately more revenue. I started testing what works. And that’s when it translated into results. Real ones.
That was the beginning of the shift.
Later, while working at Save a Life, an organization involved in bone marrow donor registration, I took ownership of their Facebook, Instagram, and website content on my own initiative. I was confident I could do it better, and it showed. Engagement increased, reach expanded, and the results were measurable. That’s when it clicked. I was good at this, and I wanted to do it for a living.
From then on, I started looking for a way into copywriting. While still working as a biologist in clinical trials, I kept pushing in that direction until I got my opportunity at Codefunnels.
I joined as a junior copywriter, and quickly proved it was the right move. Within five months, I was promoted to mid-level and took ownership of advanced work. I worked across funnels, ads, long-form content, and video, while testing, improving processes, and mentoring others. The results consistently contributed to revenue, confirming I had made the right call.
Today, I finally do what I was clearly meant to do: crafting copy that says the right thing, to the right people, in a way that truly resonates and consistently converts.
